RetinaLyze Software v4.3: Consultations update and a redesigned PDF

At RetinaLyze, we are always looking to enhance the user experience and improve patient care through seamless technology updates. With that in mind, we are excited to announce the upcoming release of RetinaLyze Software 4.3, which brings key improvements to how consultations are handled and how PDF reports are generated. This update focuses on streamlining workflows for optometrists and enhancing the accessibility of data for both users and external specialists.

Our latest update introduces two significant changes that will reshape the way users interact with Eye-Specialist Backup (ESB) and generate result PDFs. These enhancements are designed to make the consultation process more efficient and flexible, helping optometrists provide better, faster care.

1. ESB (Eye-Specialist Backup) – Enhanced Consultation Management

Current System: In the existing setup, each image or scan is sent individually to the ESB for manual assessment. This workflow can be time-consuming, especially for consultations involving multiple images.

New Update: RetinaLyze 4.3 simplifies this process by enabling users to send the entire consultation—images, scans, and all—directly to the ESB. The "Send to ESB" button has been relocated to the consultation date section, making it more intuitive and easier to access. This change saves time and ensures that all relevant data is sent together for a comprehensive assessment, improving communication between optometrists and specialists.

2. Redesigned PDF Reports – A More Comprehensive View

Current System: Previously, each image or scan generated its own separate PDF, which could fragment the patient's consultation record and make it harder to follow the overall context.

New Update: With RetinaLyze 4.3, the entire consultation, including all associated images and scans, will now be compiled into a single PDF report. This change not only makes patient data easier to review but also provides a holistic view of the consultation. The PDF button has also been moved to the top of each consultation to reflect this new design.

Additionally, we’ve introduced a new feature allowing optometrists to customize the PDF report before it's generated. A pop-up window will appear when you click the PDF report button, giving you the option to edit AI-generated results, adjust the wording, and even remove non-relevant information. This is particularly helpful for optometrists who collaborate with local ophthalmologists or use telemedicine solutions outside of our ESB, allowing for greater flexibility in how patient reports are shared and interpreted.
